The sun haven’t arose yet above the horizon when a new – oh no! – Landless knight burst into the Tavern…
Why?? Of course – in order to ask ridiculous or inappropriate question, opening a new theme especially for that. Most of newcomers commit this mistake (I’ve experienced it myself). The problem is that the main page doesn’t bear the link to Rules section, however the link that attracts the newcomers so much – to Tavern - is present. And what are the rules? Who needs them? Come to Tavern and ask something (and rid of the annoying zero in Messages field) – other visitors will reply to you…or they won’t?? Here…the newcomer has just appeared in the Tavern, but ????????? and !!!!!!!!! instantly start to fly in all directions! And the visitors, although they helplessly try to avoid those hated punctuation marks, begin to answer the first, second, third question…The novice, thankful and delighted that someone did notice him (it is possible not to notice?), goes away…but before the visitors managed to have a tankard of cooling beer, another one or two or even more appear…Landless knights (those that annoyed the local inhabitants themselves when they have just arrived to the Lands but didn’t forget their former mistakes, having matured since then) at least try to explain something to the newcomers and calm them; Nobles (that have probably forgot their first day in Heroes Lands) snarl at them (an adequate reaction); Knights grit their teeth and openly put the novices in their place (also an understandable, adequate reaction); Barons and Lords hardly appear in Tavern at all (they own a number of feuds and castles and therefore require a fair amount of time to rule them), and finally Magisters hastily take out of their fund of words the old and reliable “READ THE RULES”…
So, who are the most patient inhabitants of Heroes Lands? In my point of view these are Sir Kalkut (author of the Instruction For The Beginners) and Sir Lessons of Evil (I would like to notify his Guild of Free Advices) – I specially thank them. They will listen (almost always) and help (in most cases). So, hail to the most patient!!!
P.S. This is a helpful note for the newcomers…and else – read the Rules, dear ones
